Yamaha races ahead with Altro

AltroTect Plus resin floor and Altro Whiterock Satins wall cladding in the UK headquarters for the distribution of Yamaha Motor productsYamaha Motor (UK) Ltd. is the UK headquarters for the distribution of Yamaha Motor products.  The centre provides a fully equipped workshop and a parts, clothing and accessories department for after-sales service.  The centre relocated to a new building and needed work carried out in various locations including the workshop, reception and training areas.  Yamaha Motor (UK) Ltd and the architect, McFarlane Latter Architects, selected Altro products for their cost-effective and durable features.

For the flooring and wall cladding in the workshop, AltroTect Plus and Altro Whiterock Satins were selected.  AltroTect Plus is a high gloss epoxy floor covering, providing a durable and hygienic floor with excellent chemical, abrasion and slip resistance.   For a feature wall panel in the reception and training workshop, Altro Whiterock was used.  Both Altro Whiterock and Altro Whiterock Satins provide a durable, grout-free, water-tight wall surface that meets strict hygiene standards. The surface also benefits from being stain resistant and wipe clean.  It is also extremely impact resistant, ideal for tough areas such as industrial workshops.

Chrysi Charalampaki, architect at McFarlane Latter Architects, said: "We selected AltroTect Plus and Altro Whiterock Satins to provide a durable, slip-resistant and hygienic working environment.  The products also meant there was no need to paint the walls, saving time on site."
