Each area of an intercity train has different needs and uses, and good design will reflect this. This year, we’ve been exploring ways in which Altro can help you save weight across your train set. Vestibules
As the area where passengers get on and off the train, where excess luggage is stored, and where passengers might stand on busy services, the vestibule takes a pounding. With the risk of water being tracked inside on wet or snowy days and spilled drinks or other contaminants, this area needs to be able to stand up to slip resistance regulations and be easy to clean.

Further to this, any chosen flooring solution must be easy to clean and stain resistant. As passengers from all over the train will be making their way to this car, good and clear signposting for wayfinding is useful.
