Wayfinding and navigation

Why wayfinding matters

As specifiers know all too well, wayfinding is an extremely important issue for visitors, staff and service users in hospitals. As wayfinding and navigation affect many areas within a hospital, not just reception and entrance areas, it’s important that wayfinding issues are considered throughout the environment, including corridors, wards, patient rooms and toilets.

Good wayfinding

We understand how vital it is to build good wayfinding principles into the design of hospital environments. Good wayfinding helps people navigate unfamiliar environments and gets them to their destination by featuring a variety of tools which support the recognition of pathways and destinations. We work with you to include floors and walls to create an easy to navigate environment.
