• Recofloor celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2019
• Recofloor has collected and recycled more than 4,600 tonnes of vinyl flooring over the last 10 years. That’s enough to cover 200 football pitches!
• The waste vinyl flooring can come from flooring contractors, distributors and large construction sites including retail refurbishments using reverse logistics
• Recofloor recycle these off cuts back into new flooring products, and uplifted vinyl goes into production of traffic calming products like road cones and road sign bases
• Collections from contractors rose by 10.5% compared to last year, diverting even more vinyl flooring from landfill
• The amount of vinyl collected in 2018 would be enough to cover over 3,167 classrooms
• The CO2 savings from the 570 tonnes of vinyl recycled in 2018 is equivalent to driving a car around the Earth’s equator 109 times
• 2018 was a record-breaking year for Recofloor with 570 tonnes of waste vinyl flooring collected for recycling into flooring or other products
